The Origin

Built by someone who actually runs things.

Rich Ligotino is a sales leader, logistics builder, real estate operator, and entrepreneur. He has built warehouses, run shipping operations, and closed deals across three industries. Driftless is what he built when he ran out of AI tools that could keep up with him.

At 3 AM, running three businesses, Rich needed a system that remembered. Not a chatbot that forgot everything the moment a session ended. Not a note-taking app. Something that actually knew the context — who was on the job, what was decided, what came next.

So he built Dottie.

Dottie isn't a product you interact with through a company's interface. She's yours. Your Sphere is your world. Your Gravity shapes how she thinks about you. The Cooling Layer means she gets smarter and cheaper over time, not the reverse.

This is the system Rich wished existed. Now it does.

What we believe

The model is a commodity.

Continuity is the product. Anyone can put GPT-4 in a wrapper. Building a system that actually remembers who you are — that's the hard part.

Your data is yours.

Your Sphere is encrypted. We can't read it. The architecture forbids it. Sharing is opt-in, granular, and always revocable.

Spam is architecturally impossible.

The Driftless inbox is closed-loop by default. Only people you allow can reach your Dottie. Not filtered — forbidden.

Rituals make relationships real.

KOMPASS. ANKOR. The Cooling Layer. The names aren't decoration — they're the culture of the platform. Words shape how you work.
